TaoYuan 桃源

TaoYuan 桃源 is the audiovisual live project of SENAIDA and NÏAR (Maya), a Berlin-based duo crafting psychedelic, hypnotic experiences at the meeting point of sound and vision. Drawing on lineages that run from Ozora's trance forests to Osaka's underground clubs, from avant-garde electronic music to hand-painted 3D renders, the pair choreograph collective rituals that blur the lines between subcultures — inviting audiences into a shared trance where identity and belonging are remade together.

Named for the mythic hidden utopia in Tao Yuanming's Peach Blossom Spring — a world set apart, reached only by those willing to leave the known path — TaoYuan 桃源 is the audiovisual live project of SENAIDA and NÏAR, built at the intersection of sound architecture and hypnotic visual ritual.

SENAIDA is a Hakka-Canadian transdisciplinary artist, producer, and DJ rooted in the underground scenes of New York and Berlin. A classically trained concert pianist and sound engineer mentored by Grammy Award–winning producers Jim Anderson and Bob Power, they channel that foundation into bold, high-energy hybrid sets. Their debut album KUNST KAPUTT won the 2026 AI Creative Future Award and was featured in MixMag Asia; their work has been presented at Berlin Art Week, CTM Festival, LA Art Show, Cannes Next Film Festival, NYC Media Lab, Abbey Road Red, NAMM, and Maschinenhaus Berlin, and earned a "Best Performance" nomination at the Wavy Awards.

NÏAR is a multidisciplinary artist from Hungary, based in Berlin, creating live hypnotic visuals that fuse 3D animation with her own analog paintings and drawings. Her practice began at Ozora Festival, where she joined the visuals team and performed across multiple nights; the past year took her into Osaka and Tokyo's underground techno and experimental scenes, an immersion that reshaped both her work and her sense of where she belongs.

Together, SENAIDA and NÏAR build liminal, ritual spaces where sound and image blur the borders between subcultures, inviting audiences into a shared, hypnotic experience of identity in motion, and belonging remade collectively.
